Perskription Entertainment’s Youth Filmmaking & Acting Workshops introduce young people to acting, filmmaking, and storytelling in a supportive, structured environment designed to build confidence, creativity, and positive self-expression.
Program Overview
Our workshops provide hands-on exposure to the fundamentals of acting and film while encouraging teamwork, discipline, and emotional growth. Through creative engagement, we offer youth a positive outlet to explore their voices and tell meaningful stories.

Mental Health, Emotional Wellness & Community Impact
Creative expression supports emotional wellness by engaging the brain’s “happy hormones,” promoting joy, confidence, motivation, and emotional regulation. By providing healthy outlets for self-expression and connection, our workshops aim to reduce isolation and frustration while contributing to safer communities and helping curb cycles of violence through creativity and mentorship.

Led by Johnny J. Perkins, filmmaker, writer, and producer with decades of experience across stage, film, and television, the program is guided by a commitment to authenticity, community impact, and youth development.
